Jörg Lingenberg was born in Berlin (Germany) and received degrees as a flautist from Berlin University of Arts and Geneva Music Conservatory (prix de virtuosit�). After holding positions with Hof Symphonics and Freiburg Philharmonic Orchestra (solo flautist), he settled down in Switzerland.
Currently he teaches at Cantonal Conservatory in Sion as well as at Lausanne College of Music; he is also conductor of Sion Conservatory's Petit Orchestre.
In his spare time, he has taken to writing music for children. His compositions include a musical show "Les Bonbons magiques" and the musical accompaniment for the tale "La maison musique" by Corinna Bille, which was staged at Montreux Jazz Festival in 2009.
