
Zach Weiner
Zachary Weiner is a San Francisco-based software engineer, where he works on education products at Google. A regular in the amateur piano community, he has won prizes at PianoLink, PianoBridges, Boulder Bach Festival, competitions in San Diego and Paris, and he has performed with orchestras at PianoTexas, California Concerto Festival, and the PianoLink festival. He has appeared in Weill Recital Hall in New York and the Schoenberg Center in Vienna. His repertoire is wide-ranging, and he especially enjoys introducing audiences to contemporary music - recent programming includes Bach’s Goldberg Variations and Rzewski’s The People United Will Never Be Defeated.
Zachary’s esteemed teachers include Jon Nakamatsu, Jeremy Denk, John McCarthy, and Thomas Schultz. He was a long-time student of Natalie Maynard, herself a disciple of Olga Samaroff. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University.
In addition to his love for music and computers, Zach is an avid skier.
