Winston Maxwell started violin at the age of 4 under the Suzuki method. He studied violin with Marlon Carlson (Oregon State University), Zvi Zeitlin (Music Academy of the West) and Sonya Monosoff (Cornell), before getting a law degree at Cornell Law School (New York). Today Winston Maxwell practices law in Paris with the international law firm Hogan Lovells. Winston Maxwell plays concerts regularly with the pianist Jean-Pierre Salmona. He has studied klezmer music with Alexis Kune, Christian Dawid and has written numerous arrangements that combine classical and klezmer music.
