
Pierre Hamel
Pierre Hamel started playing violin at the age of 8 in Rouen (France), where his teachers were Mesdames H�bert and S�nard. He pursued both musical and scientific studies (Ecole Polytechnique), and then followed masterclasses with Dominique Hoppenot and with Dinu Bogdanas, the first violin of the Enesco Quartett. After having played with several French orchestras (Orchestre Symphonique Fran�ais, and Orchestre des Pays de Savoie), he has been performing as second solo violin of the Orchestre Colonne in Paris since 2002. He also regularly performs as a soloist and in chamber music.
