
Paruyr Shahazizyan
Born in Armenia, Paruyr Shahazizian studies the cello in Moscow in the higher musical education establishment Merzlyakoff, within the academy Tchaikovsky. At the age of 18, he obtains a 1st price in the international competition of Prague for string quartets.
Of return in Armenia, he joins the Upper National Conservatoire for Music Komitas in Yerevan and obtains a first price of cello, with the first class honours and first grade for virtuosity. Dedicating more particularly to the chamber music, he joins the quartet Khatchaturian in 1992. In France, he was a member of the Quartet Benaïm from 2008 till 2013.
In 2006, the association "Pour que l' Esprit Vive" invites Paruyr Shahzizyan in artistic residence in the abbey of La Prée ( France), as well as to participate in concerts spreading classical music by a large
