Jean-Marc Kerisit

Jean-Marc Kerisit started playing the violin at the age of 6. He studied at the Conservatoire National de Region de Rennes (FR) where he obtained a first prize at the age of 14. Jean-Marc participated in various orchestras, as for instance the Loewenguth Symphonic Orchestra, and created and animated orchestral and choral amateur ensembles. He won several prizes in amateur chamber music competitions. In parallel, Jean-Marc held an engineering degree from the French Ecole Polytechnique in 1983, and a PhD in Theoretical Computer Sciences in 1988. He has since been working as a consultant and technical director for various software companies, especially in artificial intelligence. Jean-Marc devotes most of his free time to chamber music. He is playing a 1993 French instrument by Alain Carbonare (Mirecourt). Jean-Marc started playing the viola in 2010 and he is playing a 1989 viola by the same violin maker: Alain Carbonare.
